This tartan was designed by Virginia Burns of Blyth, Ontario for the personal use of her family and their descendants. The navy blue stripes on a field of purple were chosen by the designer to represent the harmony of her relationship with her husband, while the five black and five pink stripes represent its mystery and depth.
