This tartan was designed by Mrs Deana Lloy of Sydney, Nova Scotia for Alain Bossé, the Kilted Chef in 2018.

The colours have personal significance:

green represents the forests of New Brunswick where Alain worked with his father and the fields of Atlantic Canada;
red represents the lobster about which Alain has delivered talks and cooking classes in culinary schools around the world;
white represents a chef's tunic;
yellow represents the star on the Acadian Flag due to the importance of the culture to Alain and
black represents the shellfish mussel, the subject of Alain's first cookbook.
